Best summation of the recent testimony of confessed influence peddler, Jarrod Massey, I can think of.  During a recent hearing, Massey admitted to paying then state Rep. Terry Spicer, from about 2002/2003 to 2009 for assistance in obtaining business.  Some of the business included contracts from the junior college where Spicer was assistant to the president for economic and community development.   Spicer was also offered money to help “seal the deal” on Country Crossing’s first location.  Spicer has been questioned by the FBI and who knows what’s next.  Spicer has declined comment (so far as I can tell).   There have been questions in the past about Massey’s involvement with AU-Montgomery and then state Finance Director (now Supreme Court Justice) Jim Main.
